Scholarships for the promotion of excellence and co-education at Hall School Wimbledon are made annually in memory of Ann Margaret Hobbs, late mother of the Principal and Headmaster.
Ann Margaret scholarships are awarded to girls for academic achievement and potential, for excellence and great promise in Art, Drama, Music or Sport, and for ‘all-round’ performance in at least two of the above. They are open to those sitting 11+ and apply for the duration of a child’s education at Hall School Wimbledon’s Senior School.
Each scholar will be expected to uphold the good name of Ann Margaret and Hall School Wimbledon. Each scholar will behave with grace and good manners, in and out of school. Each scholar will pursue her chosen discipline with determination and ambition. Each scholar will represent (or perform for) her school (and, where appropriate: her Borough, her County and her Country) in her area(s) of excellence. Each scholar will encourage and inspire her peers through leadership and example.
Each scholarship will represent a significant financial benefit. It is also an accolade to its recipient.
The Headmaster reserves the right to remove a girl’s scholarship, in part or full, should a girl behave poorly or discontinue her pursuit or performance in that field to which the award relates.
Parents and Head Teachers are invited to submit candidates for scholarships for the 2013/14 academic year. Girls will be required to complete Hall School Wimbledon’s standard 11+ Assessment and Interview and will subsequently be invited to attend a Scholarship Assessment.
Our Admissions Process for the Senior School is described in detail here. Please contact our Admissions Department for further information and to arrange a visit to the school.
Hall School Wimbledon very much looks forward to welcoming exceptional, ambitious and exciting girls in the near future.
