Current Vacancy: Head of Drama
We are seeking to appoint a talented, well-qualified and inspirational Head of Drama for either a January start or as soon as possible thereafter. This can be negotiated for the right candidate.
This post would suit either an experienced Drama teacher ready for middle leadership, or an experienced Head of Department.
The successful candidate will possess an excellent degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or related subject, and the ability to teach to GCSE. We will be launching our brand new Sixth Form from September 2020 and would also like to hear from candidates who may be able to teach up to A level/BTEC for either subject – although this is not essential. Drama is an essential part of school life at HSW. It is a popular subject that will benefit from our newly refurbished pavilion, which will soon become our new performing arts space. With that in mind, we are looking for an individual who can demonstrate an innovative and imaginative approach to teaching and learning in Drama, display a willingness to be involved in all aspects of departmental development and be a dedicated team player who strives for excellence and leads by example.
