Head’s blog –23rd June

Well, it has certainly been an adventurous week, with all of our students being either away on activity residentials, enjoying day trips locally or engaging in a range of novel activities on site.
I was lucky enough to be up at the Shropshire trip for a few days this week and was tremendously impressed by the Y7/8 students’ approach to challenges set them; they shot up climbing walls like Spiderman, built rafts as a team, learned fencing, guided each other through blind sensory trails and fired bows like medieval archers. My thanks to all the staff who have led trips and activities this week. Your care and attention has been appreciated by all.
We will wait until everyone is back before we share the next proper newsletter, which I know will be bursting with pictures, films and tales of our wonderful students’ adventures.
I hope you enjoy a lovely weekend with your families before we meet again for the final week of this school year, and what a productive year it has been. I will write with more updates on our exciting development plans for Sept next week.
Yours,

A J Hammond
