OUR ACADEMIC LIFE

Hall School Wimbledon is a happy, vibrant and forward-looking school.

Each day begins with either circuit training, or a short tutor time where pupils review the events in school, their community and around the world. We operate on an extended day till 5pm in order to accommodate a varied curriculum which includes several hours of sports.

With well-equipped classrooms, labs and specialist rooms alongside well-qualified teachers, learning and progress is at the very heart of what we do. We have a family-like feel to our pastoral approach where teachers and students coexist in an environment of mutual respect and friendliness.

We believe that anything is possible and that every pupil must engage fully in their own learning. Our nurturing pastoral care and broad curriculum supports your child on their journey.

Our successes at GCSE enable our Year 11 leavers to be fully equipped to continue their studies at Hall School Wimbledon or to take up places at leading academic and creative Sixth Forms. Our results significantly exceed those of other comparable non-selective schools. However, our academic ethos is shaped by a view that cultivating characteristics of resilience, adaptability, confidence, good humour, collaboration and empathy are just as important to our pupils’ long-term success. These are the qualities which make our Senior School leavers effective independent learners, and future leaders of society in a challenging environment.
