Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another vibrant and busy week at Hall School Wimbledon, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights and thank the staff and students who make our community so special.
A huge thank you to Mr Spoerer for organising this year’s House Music event, which will see over 50 individual performances—a truly remarkable showcase of talent. Events like this are a testament to how HSW nurtures confidence and resilience, giving our students the opportunity to grow as performers in a supportive environment.
Thank you also to Ms Prestifilippo and Ms Brockhouse for leading two excellent parent workshops this week. These sessions were incredibly informative and handled complex, sensitive topics with thoughtfulness and care. We truly value the partnership we share with parents and carers in supporting our students’ development.
Ms Prestifilippo also deserves thanks for organising a memorable theatre trip to see My Neighbour Totoro, which offered a wonderful cultural experience for our students.
We wish the very best of luck to our Year 10 and Year 12 students who will be going on work experience next week. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to gain insights into the world beyond school and begin shaping their aspirations for the future.
Looking ahead, there is a great deal of excitement around next week’s Challenge Week—an HSW tradition that brings adventure, teamwork, and unforgettable memories. A reminder of the trips planned for each year group is attached.
Please note there will be no regular newsletter at the end of next week. Instead, we will send a special edition the following week, just before the end of term, and certainly before the 9th of July.
Wishing you all a restful weekend.
Warm regards,
Jack Tyson
