PASTORAL CARE AND WELLBEING
We offer our happy children a caring, nurturing pastoral system.
Your child’s wellbeing is central to their academic and creative growth. Every pupil at Hall School Wimbledon has a Class Teacher or Head of Year whom they can confide in and who oversees their academic, moral and pastoral progress.
Our approach recognises each pupil’s unique qualities and provides them with the specific care, attention and support they require at each stage of their school life. Ultimately, when pupils leave Hall School Wimbledon, they are emotionally and socially mature.
Wellbeing Hub
Young people today have to make their way through a complex and ever-changing world, facing numerous challenges and pressures. We are determined to play our role in helping them to navigate it by promoting good mental health as well as physical wellbeing.
The Wellbeing Hub is a welcoming safe space run by Miss Rosam, Designated Safeguarding Lead, that anyone can access - children, staff or parents.
It is stocked with up to date guidance and books on a wide range of topics and is open at break times and lunchtimes and is also made available, when needed, throughout the day.
The children can use the hub to read, to talk about something or even if they just need some space for a while. They can find information on such things as friendships and relationships, differences, bullying and managing emotions.
Parents are also welcome in the hub through appointment. They can read, talk through and take away guidance on issues such as online safety, encouraging their children to complete homework or get a good night's sleep or coping with serious issues like separation and bereavement.
