Head’s blog – 14th October

Earlier this week we were treated to a marvellous musical concert by our Year 7 pupils. Learning an instrument requires great commitment and self-discipline; playing that instrument in front of an audience takes it to another level. I was hugely impressed. Well done to the readers too, and the singers. The Grove was filled with joyous sounds and smiling faces. My sincere thanks to Anna Lush, our talented new Head of Music.

On Monday we held a Sixth Form Open Afternoon. We were delighted to see so many families in attendance, both from within our current Y11 cohort and from other schools too. We have exciting plans for the future and I look forward very much to sharing progress with you in the coming months.

Thank you to everyone for your help last Saturday at our Open Day. The sun shone, the piano was played beautifully in our gardens (thanks to our talented students) and the children acted as superb tour guides for the many families who attended. I am indebted to our staff, children and parents for giving up their Saturday morning and helping to make it a great success.

Have a wonderful half term break.

Yours,

A J Hammond
