I begin most of my weekly messages with ‘It’s been a busy week.’ But never has this been truer. The Drama Club production of Murder at Heartbreak Hall on Monday evening at the Lyric, Hammersmith, was a smash hit. I was lucky enough to be seated in the front row and still I didn’t manage to guess ‘who dunnit’. Huge congratulations to the players, and to our super-talented Miss Piggott, who wrote, produced and directed the play.
On Tuesday evening we had another productive and very positive PTA meeting – thank you so much to the parents who have joined the group. I am looking forward to sharing news of the exciting fundraising events they are planning, including a disco soon.
Our KS2 students have enjoyed attending the Wimbledon Bookfest – a super experience for them. Our Year 7 students have been inspired by a samba drumming workshop up at Oberon, in the sunshine. These are just some of the activities that have taken place in the last few days, and it has only been a week since the half-term break
We have welcomed Mr Ollie Randall this week too. Back home from university for the summer, Mr Randall has spent the week shadowing teachers and supporting students as a brilliant role model. We hope Mr Randall will be followed by many more alumni who will be visiting to inspire our students in the coming years. Thank you so much for visiting, Ollie!
I hope you have a lovely weekend with your families.j
Yours,
A J Hammond
