You will recall I mentioned earlier in the term that Miss Anna Piggott, our Head of Drama, will be leaving HSW at the end of this term. We thank her for all her work at HSW and wish her all the very best for the exciting future that awaits her.

I am pleased to announce that, after interviewing a very strong field of candidates, we have now appointed Miss Jade Gabriella Prestifilippo as our Head of Drama in April. Gabriella is a very experienced Director of Drama in schools, with impressive qualifications in both Drama and Dance, including a degree from the Royal Academy of Dance and achieving Qualified Teacher Status in both Drama and Dance. We look forward to welcoming her to the school at the beginning of next term.

I am delighted to tell you that we have appointed Mrs Jianyun Zhong to the role of Mathematics teacher from April 2023. Jianyun is a highly experienced and skilful maths specialist and I know she will bring a great deal to our excellent and expanding mathematics team, led of course by Dr Pareek. Jianyun has a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of `Greenwich. We look forward to welcoming her to the school at the beginning of next term.

I am thrilled to announce the recent appointment of Mrs Nandita Goswami as a full-time Specialist SEN Teacher in our SEN department. Nandita has a wealth of experience of supporting pupils’ learning in schools. She holds a BSc and MSc from Jadavpur University in India, and a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics from the University of London. We are delighted to have Nandita’s experience and clear passion for lifelong learning here at HSW.
