It was with excitement and high hopes that I bade farewell to some of our girls this morning as, dressed in their brand new HSW netball hoodies, they boarded the minibus with Miss Ofori and Ms Rosam, bound for a three-day residential netball tour. May I wish them all the very best for this weekend. This has become an annual event and I know they will do us proud once again. I look forward to sharing news of their success in next week’s issue. 

Mr Hill delivered a very interesting assembly this week on Eid al-Fitra, a celebration important to many of our students, as they reach the end of Ramadan – a month of fasting, reflection and prayer. It was an interesting presentation, and another example of how we deliver on one of our core values here: Individuality – we recognise and celebrate our different beliefs, faiths, cultures and backgrounds.
